The AHA is now hiring a Fundraising Director, Kids Heart Challenge in Corpus Christi, TX. In this exciting opportunity, you will be responsible for managing and developing a territory of school partners, recruiting and engaging volunteer leadership, and executing a fundraising campaign in excess of $250K, gross. You will partner with local schools to grow the Kids Heart Challenge impact including increasing number of schools participating, funds raised, and kids reached. You will use your positive mindset, creativity, agility, organizational skills, desire to be on-the-go, driving from school to school to manage and grow your territory and annual fundraising campaign results.

Join our fundraising team implementing Kids Heart Challenge in local schools. You will prospect and recruit to build upon an already existing territory, working with all levels of school partners to enhance the AHA presence and positively impact kids’ health, and raise money to support our mission.

Areas of Responsibility: 

For consideration, you’ll need at least two years of full-time relevant work experience, including proven success in sales or fundraising. You must be able to start early in the morning, work/drive in the field 80% of each day, and effectively manage time and responsibilities. Occasionally, evening and weekend activities may be required. You will also be:

  • Using innovative and cutting-edge systems & tools to impact the nation’s largest health crisis at a grass roots level.
  • Impacting the mission through the youngest Americans and inspiring them to positively impact the families and communities around them.
  • Comfort presenting to large groups of kids are an essential way to generate excitement and be successful in this role.

Skills/Experience: 
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to lift at least 20 lbs. from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft programs and CRMs
  • Ability to influence others
  • Unshakeable positive, energetic, fun spirited attitude
  • Rock solid integrity
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
