To support our efforts, we have an immediate need for a PART-TIME (20 HRS/WK OR LESS) TEMPORARY CAMPAIGN COORDINATOR IN COLUMBUS, OH. THE GRANT-FUNDED PROJECT WILL END BY JULY 30, 2018. The Campaign Coordinator will build and strengthen the current complete streets and procurement coalitions and assist with managing campaign progress. The Campaign Coordinator will also assist with time-intensive taste tests and employee surveys and participate at local events to generate support. This is a non-lobbying position reporting to the Ohio Government Relations team, who handle all direct lobbying responsibilities. This part-time temporary position does not include benefits.
- Managing contacts with governmental staff with county and city agencies
- Conducting surveys for healthy vending and procurement options for county and city employees
- Administering a government employee survey of taste testing items
- Executing taste testing logistics/scheduling with county and city government agencies
- Developing a staff network of Columbus Public Health and Franklin County Health Department employees
- Speaking to various government staff to generate support for passage of healthy vending and procurement policies
- A minimum of 6 months project management experience, preferably in areas of government, non-profit, public health or food vending
- Campaign training experience preferred
- Healthy food access issue experience desired
- Ability to execute action plans to meet campaign goals
- Ability to successfully navigate through challenging governmental policies and staff requests
- Strong computer and data management skills to track taste testing logistics and survey results
- Ability to proactively and effectively communicate strategies, inspire others to action and build strong relationships across a diverse audience
