Develop, implement, and administer the centralized Human Resource Management functions and execute administrative duties related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s accreditation policies and procedures.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Direct and coordinate activities, processes, and policies necessary for maintaining compliance with all CARF regulations, compliance and adherence to standards. Lead and coordinate the organizations process for CARF accreditation reviews and necessary reporting and compliance. Assist with other licensure and quality assurance practices, and other survey / accreditation issues as assigned, to insure satisfactory outcomes.
- As the organizations Human Resources Director, originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. The primary areas for oversight and direction include, but are not limited to:
- Recruiting and staffing
- Performance management and improvement systems
- Organization development
- Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns
- Employee orientation, development, and training
- Policy development and documentation
- Employee relations
- Compensation and benefits design / administration
- Employee safety, welfare, wellness and health
- Assisting with set up / design of Automated Payroll Systems including Talent Management and other Human resource Function
- Staff Education
- Employee services and counseling
- As Human Resources Director, coordinates implementation of services, policies, and programs through Human Resources staff; reports to the CEO and serves on the executive management team; and assists and advises company managers about Human Resources issues
- Remains current on all legislation and regulations to assess trends and consult with legal representative regarding policy statements and employment law to insure compliance with federal and state laws and regulatory guidelines.
- Assists all managers with recruitment, screening, interviewing and approving qualified candidates for approved vacant positions in accordance with affirmative action/equal employment opportunity guidelines and company policies.
- Develop, plan, conduct and evaluate employee orientation and exit systems to foster positive attitude toward the agency and enhance program and services through provided input.
- Provide guidance to employees in interpretation of policies and assist with the investigation of complaints and/or accident/injury reports as required.
- Provide sound interpretation of the state or federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) standards that directly impacts the maintenance and privacy of health information.
- Works with all organization personnel involved with any aspect of release of protected health information, to insure full coordination and cooperation under the organization’s policies and procedures and legal requirements.
- Monitor advancements in regulations related to HIPPA, Patient and Employee rights to ensure organizational adaptation and compliance.
- Supervision of the Staff Educator position, and other positions as assigned, to assist with and carry out / implement the above responsibilities.
Educational Background:
Bachelor Degree in health/business related field and four years experience in management capacity.
