Assists the President & CEO with all governance functions pertaining to the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Nominating Committee, Human Resources & Compensation Committee and other aspects of UWM governing body. Acts as day-to-day liaison with Board members. Develops executive level reports, presentations and mailings. Archives official meeting minutes in accordance with UWM bylaws and governance best practices. Plans and coordinates offsite meetings and event logistics as assigned by the President/CEO. Coordinates, implements and assists with special projects and programs as assigned.
Provides administrative support to President & CEO and assists in facilitating, implementing and managing the strategic planning process and the annual incentive plan for the organization.
- Maximizes CEO’s time by prioritizing and managing calendar, inbox and day to day requests.
- Manages all aspects of governance meeting requirements to include agenda development, distribution of meeting notices, tracking attendance, preparation of meeting materials, and room set up. Archives official meeting minutes in accordance with UWM bylaws and governance best practices.
- Plans and coordinates internal meetings, staff meetings as well as Board and Executive Committee meetings.
- Maintains accurate demographic and service term data and other relevant information on Board and committee members in StratusLIVE, including producing and distributing Board report cards.
- Manages annual projects including strategic planning and organizational goal setting.
- Coordinates and prepares Governance Manuals for all Board members and Community Council Stewards.
- Prepares presentations, reports, and mailings as needed.
- Coordinates, implements, and assists with special projects and programs as assigned.
- Other duties as necessary or assigned.
- Ability to manage regular schedule of time sensitive tasks along with multiple requests for assistance in a professional and organized manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include business writing, editing, proofreading and formatting.
- Excellent software skills to include proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
- Experience in database management, with a basic understanding of the underlying concepts.
- Experience in relationship management and excellent customer service skills.
