The primary responsibility of the Market Development Director, in partnership with the local SVP/Executive Director, will be to drive accelerated mission and revenue growth to the market.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Ensure that affiliates financial goals are achieved and strategic priorities are aligned with those of the association.
- Oversee an annual strategic evaluation and planning processes for markets.
- Help markets focus on the highest impact priorities in order to drive goal achievement, while effectively balancing a strategic (big picture) focus with day-to-day execution.
- Work with internal and external partners to develop strategies to significantly increase AHA’s community impact and community change.
- Work with affiliate and market leaders to develop a highly engaged, high performing staff team committed to understanding and achieving the health, revenue and volunteerism goals of the association.
- Monitor and analyze external and internal trends and develop benchmarks, best practices, priorities and focus areas for top markets.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Advertising.
Skills/Experience:
- Seven to ten years of fundraising experience in volunteer and staff management, managing a major/market territory and strategic planning.
- Executive Director or Senior Vice President level of staff management experience
