Responsible for all functions and activities related to strengthening the Affiliate network. In close collaboration with the President and CEO, manages and develops strategic collaborations with the affiliate network leadership, supporting achievement of organization-wide goals that support growth and reach of Easterseals mission impact. This position requires 60% travel.
- Provides leadership to assure that Easterseals is actively expanding organizational capacity and opportunity for substantial growth in mission, service impact, brand, philanthropy, and revenues.
- In collaboration with the Affiliate network, develops and implements an online knowledge management and social collaboration platform that serves as a resource to facilitate information sharing and communication among national office and affiliate leadership, staff and volunteers.
- Establishes systems and supports for efficient and effective collection and sharing of critical affiliate financial and programmatic data.
- Assures affiliate compliance and adherence to Easterseals Membership Agreement and Board Policies, as well as staff the Affiliate Relations Committee of the Board of Directors.
- Partners with affiliate executives and volunteer leadership to assure affiliate success and effectiveness.
- Acts as liaison between affiliates and Easterseals National office to provide information regarding resources and programs available throughout the network.
- Collaborates with the Affiliate Relations Committee (ALC) on issues relating to Easterseals network and supports effective communication between Easterseals National office and affiliates.
- Provides counsel to the President/CEO and other executive staff on a variety of issues relating to the affiliate policies, practices and communications.
- Plans, organizes, staffs, manages and evaluates all aspects of the Affiliate & Network Advancement Department. Establishes departmental priorities and ensures successful achievement of departmental and interdepartmental objectives.
- Provides counsel to affiliate CEOs on program service business and trends, engaging their communities around Easterseals advocacy areas and related state and local government relations activities.
- Leads efforts to enhance the role and contribution of affiliate boards through provision of consultation, training and resources.
- Represents Easterseals among various non-profit and/or for-profit organizations, professional groups and other entities to share the Easterseals’ mission and vision.
- Understands and endorses Easterseals’ mission and values.
- Contributes to an organizational culture of innovation and exemplary performance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Fifteen years’ experience in a senior executive position with a major nonprofit organization, preferably with an affiliated structure
- Proven track record in business development, including mergers and acquisitions.
- Prior experience in nonprofit leadership, strategy development, business development, budgeting, finance, board governance, philanthropy, marketing communications, human resources, media relations, advocacy and issues management
- Must have significant experience related to multiple Easterseals programs and services
