Responsible for building and managing creative calendar for donor acquisition and retention campaigns utilizing direct mail and alternative media channels helping to ensure alignment across channels. Ensure seamless execution by guiding campaigns from concept to completion. Drive complicated creative projects forward with on-time, on-budget execution. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develop and execute annual creative plan supporting fundraising goals. Gain alignment with Managers. Manage annual creative budget ensuring test plans are within scope and aligned with annual plan goals.
  • Working with external/internal partners, track and maintain project timelines including briefs, legal review, internal review and creative proofing. Manage campaign execution from concept to completion.
  • Manage creative review process across all channels ensuring SVP has visibility to all creative at appropriate time.
  • Draft creative briefs for review by Director/Managers.
  • Obtain and consolidate feedback from all appropriate stakeholders including senior leadership (ranging from CMO to Managers) on creative copy; share with external agency partners.
  • Review, with meticulous attention to detail, each round of creative to ensure it delivers on the brief/annual plan and is error free. Serve as subject matter expert on Feeding America brand standards, claim language, photo/story expiration, and other editorial guideline standards.
  • Be the “eyes and ears” of what other nonprofits are doing as it relates to fundraising. Consolidate competitive appeals and make recommendations accordingly.
  • Act as liaison between online and offline teams integrating creative where appropriate; ensures custom URL tracking, coding and landing pages are set up accurately.
  • Represent needs and priorities as it relates to collection of content and assets, including photos, stories and videos.

Educational Background: 
BA/BS accepted or equivalent experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  •  3-5 years in direct marketing, nonprofit fundraising or a creative agency with a thorough understanding of the creative process.
  • 1-2 years supporting direct mail campaigns and/or direct mail print production.
  • Experience in project managing complicated creative projects with an eye for detail when proofreading.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a strong sense of meeting deadlines and excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing agency/vendor work to ensure projects are on time and on budget.
  • Aptitude to effectively prioritize project load and collaborate with manager on reprioritizing workload appropriately.
  • Ability to manage across different staff levels to drive project to completion.
  • Problem solver, self-motivated, proactive, incredibly detailed oriented, excellent project management skills and superb follow-through on all tasks.
  • Excellent written, verbal, computer (word, excel, PowerPoint) skills.
  • Committed to organizational mission of ending hunger.
