Fulfills a critical role by working to ensure successful, efficient processes within Philanthropy operations team.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Record philanthropic donations accurately. Coordinate the accuracy of entry using the accompanying documentation and information provided by the donor, the gift & data manager, relationship managers and/or others to determine the correct donor, fund allocation, transaction coding, pledge payment schedule and other critical information.
- Record and update data pertinent to fundraising on donors and constituents, including demographic, biographical, financial, and philanthropic information. Plan, execute, monitor, and control activities related to adding, updating or deleting data in the constituent database for fundraising and/or advocacy.
- Ensure donation verification requests representing donors, their financial advisors and accountants are completed and returned promptly.
- Run and produce with scheduled regularity: PayPal Express/Luminate Online sync validation, BBMS suspect transactions, BBMS chargeback transactions, Sage EFT Reject Report, LO Refund Report. Batch these transaction updates and make necessary adjustments in the database system of record.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of gift and pledge handling that comply with both Feeding America policies and business processes as well as the IRS gift counting guidelines.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of work instructions; solicit input to create and document business rules/processes to be used by vendors and other users of the constituent database.
- Ensure proper filing of donation batch files, validate audit files and maintain archive of donations made to the organization.
- Assist in producing information for gift processing audit(s) and for specific inquiries.

Educational Background:
High school diploma, bachelor’s degree or relevant experience preferred
Skills/Experience:
- 1+ years professional / internship experience – work in fundraising operations a plus
