United Way of East Central Iowa (UWECI) is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to lead our financial stability work, which focuses on meeting basic needs as well as building skills and education so individuals can achieve financial stability.
Areas of Responsibility:
- This position is responsible for developing data-driven and research-based innovative strategies to achieve community change, providing leadership to volunteers and community partners, and overseeing funding processes. This position will take a leadership role in social and policy research projects in support of UWECI’s priority work and will help design and implement research, create white papers, maintain an organizational resource library, and represent UWECI in coordinating with other research organizations in our service area. UWECI is looking for an individual with experience in data analysis, conducting research, strategic planning, facilitation, relationship management, and network building.
Educational Background:
Qualifications include a four-year degree from an accredited college (postgraduate degree preferred) and the ability to work with diverse populations.
Skills/Experience:
- This role requires effective decision-making, project management, and communication skills; demonstrated success in leading innovative projects from vision to implementation; knowledge of community resources and the human service sector; and proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS and statistical analysis.
