United Way of East Central Iowa (UWECI) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join the Finance & Administration team. The Accounting Manager will manage and maintain the control of financial accounts and processes and engage in activities related to accounting, operations, and fundraising.
This position is responsible for managing and performing a wide range of accounting functions including month- and year-end closeouts, reconciliations, and account analysis and reporting. This position will also process payroll and assist human resources with benefits administration. UWECI is looking for an individual with budget, audit, and compliance experience to support the organization’s stewardship and maintain the highest level of integrity and accountability.
This role requires effective decision-making, analysis, and communication skills; demonstrated success in updating and implementing processes to enhance effectiveness; and the ability to evaluate information and deliver strategic recommendations.
- Experience with grant reporting is preferred.
