Medical Librarian

The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Medical Librarian in our National Center office located in Dallas, TX (remote/home based is acceptable)

This is a temporary assignment that is scheduled to last approx. 6-8 weeks.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provide timely and accurate information services in support of AHA/ACC writing committees.
  • Receive and process completed literature search forms.
  • Communicate with writing committee members to define topics and scope of searches.
Educational Background: 
Master’s degree in Library Science.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of three (3) years medical library searching experience with an emphasis on evidence-based medicine.
  • Ability to generate search strings and strategies in databases (i.e. PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, etc.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, EndNote or RevMan.
  • Familiarity with Systematic Reviews and Clinical Practice Guidelines.
