As the Development Director – Corporate Events , you will be responsible for implementing and raising funds for the Vermont Heart Walk and Go Red for Women Luncheon. Some of the key responsibilities you will have in this role include, identification, cultivation and recruitment of C-suite and Upper Level Management volunteer leaders; sponsor solicitation, activation, and cultivation; maintaining and stewarding relationships with key corporate and community leaders; establishing new accounts and cultivating new customers to reach highest level of revenue generation; and building a network of meaningful volunteer partnerships to advance our mission. You will also be responsible for soliciting donors for our Circle of Red, Major Giving/Individual Giving and CorVitae initiatives.

In this role, you will report to Donna our Executive Director for NH, VT and Central/Western MA. You will join her team that includes Blair in MA and Caela and Patty in NH. This position will be home office based in VT but will report to our Manchester, NH location. You will have the opportunity to work with staff in our development and program/mission related positions to support your efforts in VT.

Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred. College coursework combined with related experience may be substituted for a degree. Related experience may be substituted as follows: 1 ½ years experience equates to 1 full time year of higher ed
Skills/Experience: 

You should have the ability to accomplish results through strong volunteer recruitment and management, have a proven track record in exceeding sales/fundraising goals, possess the knowledge and demonstrated ability to successfully identify, cultivate, recruit, and maintain relationships with top level volunteers/customers, have great organizational, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to understand and navigate corporate cultures to achieve goals. Previous experience soliciting Individual donors and Major Gifts is highly desirable.

  • Experience: Must have at least 2 years of experience in fundraising, outside sales and/or senior level volunteer management. This experience may also count towards satisfying this position’s educational requirement.
