Position is for a Life Skills Coach II working in a 1:1 ratio in a Residential home. Duties include assisting adults with mobility issues, physical disabilities and developmental disabilities.
Basic Responsibilities:
Participate in meaningful, daily work activities with the individual, engaging him/her and supporting him/her when necessary. Provide individual with personal care, which may include personal hygiene and nutritional needs. Maintain all assigned documentation and data regarding case notes and files
Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience working with disabilities and/or behavior management.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and written, with all levels of staff, the general public and program participants.
- Ability to walk, stand, stoop and pusha wheelchair. Ability to lift 70 lbs. repetitively.
- Reliability and dependability, ability to follow directions and work independently.
- Must have reliable vehicle, current CA driver’s license, proof of insurance and auto registration and clean driving record of 3+ years.
- Ability to pass a post offer physical and to obtain fingerprint clearance.
Additional Notes:Part time leading to full time. Must be available weekday evenings and one weekend day.
