The Coordinator, Corporate Relations will be an integral part of a team whose responsibility is to strengthen the United Way’s relationships with our corporate partners and raise significant dollars to further the United Way mission. This position is both an external and internal position with account management responsibilities, team and project management, and assistance with a signature industry event. This Coordinator should have the ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and the ability to easily build strong and effective relationships with internal and external constituents.
Account Management:
- Creatively, energetically, and professionally manage and cultivate relationships with the portfolio of assigned corporate accounts.
- Lead account management and tracking for accounts where we currently have limited engagement opportunities and contacts.
- Work with Community Ambassadors to deliver high-quality engagement opportunities to partners in the portfolio.
- Maintain all records of accounts in United Way’s donor database, Andar.
- Help the team with prospect research and the identification of new opportunities.
Corporate Relations Team Administrative Support:
- Project Manage innovative campaign opportunities (i.e. Recommit Strategy; Campaign Manager Stewardship; and Team One-Pagers) and creatively think of stewardship opportunities for our external champions.
- Manage Andar Database for Corporate Relations Team events.
- Maintain and enter accurate information within the Andar database and run all industry reports on a regular basis. This team expects high-quality data and analysis for all donor reports; we will rely on the manager to present data with integrity as well as bring attention to questions and/or trends they may identify.
- Manage Corporate Relations team office inventory (campaign materials; giveaways; etc.)
- Organize Corporate Relations weekly team meetings.
STEM Leadership Breakfast Event Support:
- Support Senior Director, Corporate Relations in the STEM Leadership Breakfast.
- Participate in all STEM Leadership Breakfast meetings including: External STEM Advisory Committee planning meetings; Internal Marketing planning meetings; etc.
- Maintain all Andar Database support for this event including event Save the Date, Invitations, attendee registrations, thank you and follow-ups.
- Be observant and curious of the STEM industries/donor base. Read newspapers, industry periodicals, online industry sources to stay apprised of industry activities and possible new donors/contacts.
Teamwork:
- Participate and contribute to team meetings, participate in organization sponsored training(s) and team building events as scheduled.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude toward and good working relationships with team members and other staff.
- Offer new ideas and strategies which bring growth in both revenue and donor engagement.
- Work collaboratively and successfully within the Development Department and with other UW departments (such as Marketing, Volunteer Engagement, and Community Impact).
- Participate in various internal committees to execute key relevant events and opportunities.
- 1-2 years of work experience (non-profit relationship management preferred; account management experience within a for-profit setting considered)
- Intermediate to advanced level skills/experience with database systems preferred. United Way uses Andar for our donor data capture and reporting
- Excellent MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills
- Strong customer skills in person and on the phone
- Strong attention to detail and proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

Salary: $41,000 to $50,000 per year
