Our community has asked us to lead a tall charge and we need the right person to join our team that can help raise the resources necessary to make this vision a reality. The Resource Development & Communications Manager will help to shape the way our community engages in moving 10,000 people out of poverty, eliminating deaths from substance use disorder and improving third grade reading scores by 10% by the year 2028.
The Resource Development & Communications Manager will have the ability to motivate and mobilize volunteers and donors to support the United Way of Eastern Maine’s mission and increase our investment in activities that support the three Opportunity 2028 Bold Goals, a ten-year community change initiative set by the community and led by United Way of Eastern Maine:
- Meet basic needs and promote self-sufficiency for all
- Prevent, treat, and support recovery from Substance Use Disorder
- Ensure all children have quality early learning experiences
Our Resource Development & Communications Manager will craft and tailor communications that demonstrate the impact of UWEM’s work and design events that effectively engage our community. The position is largely focused on building relationships with corporations, individuals and volunteers that encourage highly successful workplace and individual giving through effective and efficient fundraising efforts throughout United Way of Eastern Maine’s (UWEM) five-county service area.
