Position Title: Mentor Coordinator and Data Speciailist

Report To: Assistant director, impact strategies programs & veterans treatment docket coordinator
POSITION Summary
Recruit, screen, train, supervise, and retain veterans to serve as peer mentors for identified Veterans Treatment Docket participants. Organize peer mentors into a cohesive unit, schedule mentors for docket proceedings and training. Track and manage all data pertaining to the docket and enter information in a timely, accurate manner. Participate in veteran outreach activities and perform any duties as dictated by the Veterans Treatment Docket Judge. Half of this position is dedicated to mentor coordination and half is dedicated to program data management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively seek potential candidates to become mentors for the Veterans Treatment Docket and perform their initial interview.
- Review mentor applications for eligibility screening, and when necessary pursue further investigation if applications raise eligibility issues.
- Track applicants’ completion of application, contract, interview, orientation, and docket observation prior to applicants participating as mentors.
- Notify applicants of approval or disapproval of mentor application.
- Schedule mentors for docket proceedings ensuring that a sufficient number of mentors are available at each session.
- Assign mentors to court participants based on need, gender, age and cultural awareness, including service branch.
- Create, maintain, review and update all court participant folders used by the mentors.
- Provide training to mentors on their role in support of the docket and to enhance their skills.
- Assist in identifying local veteran specific agencies and services that can help participants.
- Collect and maintain all required data pertaining to the docket participants.
- Frequently run data statistics to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Responsible for precise and timely submission of quarterly financial and statistical reports to the Office of Problem Solving Courts.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the supervision of the mentors assigned as volunteers for the Veterans Treatment Docket.

Continuous sitting, standing, typing; frequent use of email, phone, and other office equipment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and occasional weekend hours. Personal use of a vehicle is required for meetings and court docket attendance.

In accomplishing the responsibilities of this position, the Court expects that the employee will adhere to the mission and values of the Court as well as all Court policies and procedures. In addition, while carrying out the duties of this position, the employee is expected to maintain the highest ethical conduct on and off the job, and exhibit a professional and respectful demeanor with all Court employees.
Qualified applicants who have had prior military service will be required to provide a copy of their DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty.
Annual Salary: $41,000 to $50,000 per year
