The Content Manager reports to the Director of Multimedia Content. The Content Team within the Marketing & Communications Department provides synthesized content for both collateral pieces and digital platforms to tell United Way’s story and drive donors to give, advocate and volunteer. The Content Team also plays an essential role to educate the public about United Way’s Child Well-Being Agenda and to report successes that contribute to the organization’s goal to improve the lives of more than 250,000 children by 2027.
The Content Manager will collaborate with our communications and marketing team, community engagement team, donor engagement and donor services team, in driving the content strategy and development for a new Salesforce Philanthropy Cloud platform.
- Build and curate content library for Salesforce Philanthropy Cloud
- Produce high-quality, industry-leading work that will inspire, motivate and engage, leading to furthering donor engagement at top companies
- Act as a journalist by interviewing agency partners and donors to create compelling content
- Develop the content strategy based on the needs and wants of our community and donor partners
- Collect images for each content piece, collaborating with creative team
- Track, record and report out on interactions with content; make Support onboarding of new donor partners through custom content development for their unique platforms
- Maintain content and manage updates to content in collaboration with United Way Worldwide and Salesforce.org team
- Stay up to date on content trends to provide best practices recommendations that increase brand reach and perception
- Update donor partner unique sites as needed with custom content
- Proven evidence of strong editorial judgment
- Ability to navigate successfully in the rapid changing content strategy space
- Excellent writing, proofreading, copyediting and communications skills
