We are seeking a Mid-Level Giving Manager to be an integral part of a new Mid-level giving team at March of Dimes. The team will be responsible for communications, solicitations and stewardship strategies, for an identified cohort of high potential current donors as well as future donors who have the potential to grow in their giving. The position works collaboratively with national, regional, and market leadership to ensure that the March of Dimes mission and fundraising objectives are met.

The position reports to the Senior Director, Mid-Level Giving.  Location flexible, with a strong preference for candidates in Atlanta, GA or Arlington, VA.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manage a portfolio of 300-500 of donors who are giving $1,000-$9,999 on an annual cumulative basis and have potential to increase their giving. 
  • Serve as the coordinator for various projects happening across the mid-level giving team in order to assist the team in their efforts to build, strategize, plan and execute a mid-level program
  • Provide support for CRM tracking, stewardship projects and other external communications and/or tracking items as needed.
  • Assist the Director of Mid-Level Giving with coordinating efforts with the stewardship team to develop and implement an annual donor stewardship plan 
  • Assist with all communication, solicitation and stewardship needs for portfolio managed donors
  • Assist in building donor-centric best practices for mid-level donors, with a focus on retention based philanthropy 
  • Respond to mid-level donor requests for information and demonstrate exemplary customer service 
  • Manage PO processing and budget tracking for the department
  • Perform a variety of administrative support duties which may include, but are not limited to:  coordinating calendars and appointments/travel, managing stewardship mailings and drafting communications
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the Foundation – its values, history, culture, traditions, communities, programs, personalities, constituencies and governance structure; understand its base of financial support and the short and long-term funding requirements of all segments of the organization.
  • Handle other duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
Four year college degree or equivalent experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of directly related work experience, including time in the realm of individual giving, mid-level giving, or direct marketing.
  • Progressively responsible project management experience required.
  • Demonstrated success in a similar type role in the past, including budget management
  • Experience managing a portfolio of donors, including significant donor interactions
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and all MS Office products.
  • Ability to travel outside of the Market as needed for training opportunities and other March of Dimes business.
  • Positive attitude required.
  • Self-starter who is results oriented.
  • Team player with ability to work collaboratively and build effective working relationships with colleagues and volunteers.
  • Superior oral and written skills with the ability to effectively communicate the need for and benefits of supporting the March of Dimes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills.
