The Finance and Operations Manager must take pride in the details, accuracy and organization of their work while holding true to United Way’s long term strategic vision.
This position performs required accounting functions, basic human resources assistance, and occasional building management and administrative functions.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Execute the accounts payable functions for the organization, ensuring that protocols for proper authorization, supporting documentation, general ledger coding and timely payment of expenses are consistently followed
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations; analyze returned items and outdated checks to ensure they are handled on a timely basis
- Process and journalize payroll and related items
- Manage miscellaneous accounts receivable including building rents and contracts
- Ensure fixed asset system is accurate and up-to-date
- Assist with reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts, quarterly financial statement preparation and annual audit preparation
- Assist Vice President of Finance and Operations with human resources and building management functions
- Cooperate with finance and operations team to provide shared back-up for administrative responsibilities
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $41,000 to $50,000 per year
