Development Coordinator, Heart Walk

We have an excellent opportunity for a Development Coordinator, Heart Walk in the Ann Arbor area . This position is a temporary role lasting approximately seven weeks. The Coordinator will work 20-25 hours per week and will have a home office set up.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Coordinator will serve as a staff liaison to selected corporate and community accounts with the goal of maximizing revenue potential for the Heart Walk event.

  • Conduct site visits to identify Team Captains and Top Walkers (walkers who raise at least $500).
  • Meet with Team Captains to drive walker recruitment and fundraising strategies
  • Meet with Top Walkers to support their fundraising goal achievement.
  • Conduct Heart Walk kick off or rally events
  • Assist Development Director with Heart Walk event logistics.
Educational Background: 
Must have earned a high school diploma or GED.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 1+years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including large and small group presentations, group facilitation, and training. Skill in written communications to include clear and concise narrative reports, evaluations and similar narrative pieces.
  • Ability to do daily travel up to 75%.
  • Must have at least basic knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office 2010 or higher used for word processing, email, presentations, and spreadsheets. Advanced knowledge and skill with these programs is preferred. These skills are subject to testing.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds with the expectation that items in excess of 20 pounds would be broken down into smaller components or additional assistance is required before lifting and/or moving.
