Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented and dedicated professional for the role of Specialist, US Grants, who will manage various non-governmental grants and programs delivered to local Habitat affiliates. The US Grants Specialist provides grant management services and funding resources to local Habitat affiliates in US & Canada for HFHI’s corporate, foundation, cause marketing and workplace giving, individual, or any non-governmental donor.
US Grants supports both our donors and affiliates by implementing and streamlining grant-funded projects faster and more effectively through standardized products and donor reporting capture, while providing the necessary legal protections that minimizes risk for our donors. This position will be based in our administrative headquarters in Americus, GA.
- Administer grant process to meet the goals and expectations of each specific grant program
- Work closely with donors and HFHI personnel to determine affiliate selection for participation in grant programs
- Maintain ongoing dialogue and updates with participating HFH affiliates awarded grants to ensure impeccable coordination of projects, media, grant fund disbursement, etc., and to maximize the effectiveness of the partnerships for both grantors and grantees (The above three functions would consume 75% of this person's time.)
- Assist Sr. Specialist, US Grants in coordinating sponsor/employee participation with Habitat affiliates as required (5%)
- Assist Sr. Specialist, US Grants in ensuring grant agreements are executed in accordance with the affiliate/Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) partnership agreement (5%)
- Assist Sr. Specialist, US Grants with Communications to promote grant opportunities through the U.S. Office (5%)
- Prepare and maintain reports as required (10%)
- 3-5 of related work experience, especially with account management
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs, especially MS Access and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional relationship management skills
- Detailed-oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Experience in project management
- Must have strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to travel domestically up to 10%
