The Digital Marketing Coordinator supports the Director of Marketing and Communication and is a highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting UWAC services with current and future donors, volunteers and will communicate the positive impact of UWAC to the community. That passion comes through as he/she engages with the community on a daily basis, with the ultimate goal of turning fans into donors and volunteers. They will provide general marketing support to promote events and engage donors and volunteers in United Way’s work, while maintaining brand standards. This position helps create day-to-day content for UWAC’s social media platforms, and will be responsible to increase website traffic, generate leads and create an engaging platform for our donors and volunteers. The ideal candidate will help with all events for UWAC and other duties that contribute to the success of United Way.
- Ensure consistent, quality implementation of United Way’s brand in all aspects of the organization so every contact is a positive experience
- Develop and implement strategies for growing the organization’s social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Google+
- Post consistent content on UWAC's Facebook/Twitter/Instagram pages
- Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “Social” way while cultivating relationships with current fans and engages in online conversation to increase the online presence and grow fans organically
- Helps monitor and track performance of posts, perform analysis (including preparing and documenting actionable insights), prepare reports and share data as needed
- Keeps current of social media developments and best practices
- Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts
- Proactively generate or assist with creative concepts, collateral and engaging messaging that aligns with brand strategy. Examples may include: advertising, annual report, campaign materials, digital/social campaigns, e-newsletters, event promotion, media releases, presentations, etc.
- Oversee design (i.e.: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, Blog, etc.)
- Design, create and manage promotions and Social ad campaigns
- Analyze key metrics and tweak strategy as needed
- Consistently represent the United Way and its mission in a positive manner
- Other duties as assigned
- Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound
- Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
- Maintains excellent writing and language skills
- Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format
- Exceeds at building and maintaining relationships, online and off
- Proven ability to prioritize, follow through, multi-task, pay attention to details, work within tight deadlines and manage time well
- Strong organizational skills
- Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary. (i.e.: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management)
- Must be self-motivated and self-directed
- Experience / understanding of the following: Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Microsoft Office suite, Prezi, and website maintenance
- Photography and video production skills a plus
- Must be able to operate DSLR cameras
- Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
- Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics. Highly knowledgeable in the principles of “Search and Social”
- Demonstrates winning Social Customer Service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution
- Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues
- Ability to handle confidential information and management of a variety of responsibilities
- Current driver’s license, reliable transportation and cell phone required
