Responsible for leading the design and the support of donor stewardship objectives within Major Donor relations team of the Investor Relations department. The primary areas of responsibility are as follows: 1) Lead donor stewardship “excellence” process for cross border giving and donors to UWW 2) Assist with United Way Worldwide Leadership Council strategic objectives 3) Project manage key partnerships with external stakeholders, and 4) Special projects within the Major Donor team and cross-team within the organization.
Areas of Responsibility:
An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:
- Lead donor stewardship “excellence” process for cross border giving and donors to UWW
- Assist with United Way Worldwide Leadership Council strategic objectives
- Provide project management support on major initiatives and deliverables
- Develop joint stewardship model with local UW’s
- Coordinate the alignment within the capacity and network work in the broader IR team
- Budget management, analysis and variance reporting
- Accountable for building and integration of major donor department work plans
- Manage Major Donor Relations portal on United Way Online
- Other duties as assigned
Educational Background:
Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree with at three to five years of project management work.
Skills/Experience:
- Exposure to different aspects of fundraising and an understanding of major gift fundraising an asset. A solid background in managing resources and personnel, as well as process improvement. Demonstrated ability to engage the United Way network and work with local United Ways. Must work well under pressure and be detail-oriented, have good problem-solving skills, strong verbal, written and public speaking skills. Well organized, reliable, can set priorities, meet deadlines, adapt to rapidly changing situations and meet commitments in a timely manner are critical to success in this position.
