To ensure that Tocqueville Society and United Way Direct members and prospects receive the highest level of personalized, consistent and accurate customer service, accuracy and attention to detail including but not limited to recording and tracking gifts, designations, payouts, gift acknowledgement, event planning and participation, donor recognition and grant assistance.
35% Assist with Tocqueville and United Way Direct relationships:
- Builds relationships with Tocqueville Society and United Way Direct members through personal interaction and providing the highest quality customer service.
- Accurately records and manages Tocqueville Society and United Way Direct members contact information, personal data and relationship notes in Andar database.
- Accurately records and manages designation requests, special handling requests and payout preferences.
- Provides staff support to the Tocqueville Society Cabinet and United Way Direct committee; tracks and manages prospect lists, manages renewals and follow up process.
- Collaborates with finance/accounts payable staff in managing policies/procedures related to Tocqueville Society and United Way Direct members.
- Manages formal and informal thank you process for all Tocqueville Society and United Way Direct members. Responsible for timely thank you letters to new and renewing donors.
30% Engagement:
- Manages all activities associated with Tocqueville Society events working with AVP Major Gifts and Strategic Planning.
- Attends Tocqueville Society events and assigned community activities.
- Sends event invitation, manages RSVPs and is point of contact with vendor.
20% Support:
- Accurately records and manages gifts, pledges and payment preferences in Andar.
- Manages designation requests, special handling requests and payout preferences.
- Collaborates on the annual publication of the Leaders in Givingdonor directory and manages the data included in the Tocqueville Society section.
- Assist with needs of the Director of Grants.
15% Reporting, data analysis and research, as necessary for Major Gifts, United Way Direct, Planned Giving and Grants.
JOB RELATIONSHIPS WITH: Corporate & Community Engagement Team, Tocqueville donors, United Way Direct donors, Foundations and Finance.
- 2 years of experience in working building relationships and event management.
- Experience in non-profit sector preferred.
- Competent in MS Office products.
- Interest in the improvement of the Summit County community.

PHYSICAL/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Position is primarily a normal office setting, requiring long periods of sedentary work at a desk and computer.
- Ability to routinely travel throughout multi-floor office, walking, climbing stairs.
- Must be able to sit, stand, reach with hands and arms, bend and stoop.
- Minimal lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Must be willing to work non-standard work schedule including nights, weekends, and other unusual hours on occasion.
- After-hours event attendance occasionally.
- Valid driver license and proof of insurance.
- Access to reliable insured automobile to be used for work-related travel in Summit County area.
