Basic Responsibilities: Responsibilities: Essential Job Functions: • Conducts MST assessments including review of referral information, identifying and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses, and developing an analysis of the fit of problem behaviors within the ecological context. • Engages primary caregivers and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement. • Implements a problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, and outcome review and strategy revision procedure using the MST Analytic Process. • Collaborates with all relevant systems and key participants within each system to ensure their buy-in and cooperation throughout MST treatment. • Provides direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with MST principles and practices. • Participates in all MST training, supervision and consultation activities. • Must be able to drive for work purposes on a regular basis • Other duties as assigned. Non-Essential Job Functions: • Provides modeling, positive reinforcement, redirection and anticipatory guidance within recovery and strengths-based principles to help develop the independence of the person and/or family served. • Provides training to caregivers, service providers and others who have a legitimate role in addressing the needs identified in the service plan. • Works cooperatively with the person served, their guardian, and the Child/Family Team in the provision of services to meet the goals developed in the service plan. • Participates in community collaborative efforts to improve the delivery of community based services in the region. • Monitors monthly financial reports and manage expenditures according to annualized budget, including receivables reports. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: • Fluent in Spanish and English. • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related subject area. • Persons with a related bachelor’s degree and significant clinical experience in treating serious antisocial behavior in youth may also qualify at the discretion of the agency. • Demonstrate good moral and ethical character, clear of substantiated findings of abuse or neglect listed on the NC Health Care Registry. Preferred Experience: • Direct use of pragmatic (i.e. structural, strategic, and functional) family therapies. • Individual therapy with children and adults using cognitive behavioral techniques. • Marital therapy using behaviorally –based approaches. • Behavioral therapy targeting school behavior and academic performance. • Implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth’s natural ecology that affect or influence the behavior of youth (i.e. family, peer, school, and neighborhood).
