The Development Coordinator works as part of a team of fundraising professionals responsible for achieving the revenue goals of the Easter Seals national office. While supporting all fund development activities, the position will have an emphasis on assisting with moves management, gift processing, proposal development and stewardship reporting.  This position works under the general direction of the Director of Development/Director, Development Operations but enthusiastically supports the entire Development Team. 

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Provides executive level administrative support through coordination of meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements for Senior Vice President of Development and Vice President, Development and Corporate Relations. 
  • Coordinates donor cultivation and stewardship activities through the oversight of the annual stewardship plan for individual, corporate and foundation donors.
  • Conducts research as needed for individual, corporate and foundation donors and prospects. Utilizes tools to gather pertinent information on key donors and prospects, including biographical and career information, education, giving histories, etc.; as well as articles of interest and evaluative materials.
  • Supports preparation of proposal documents for presentations to potential individual, corporate and foundation donors.
  • Provides assistance with reviewing proposal and grant management to ensure all proposals are compliant with the funder instructions and complete grant submission process.
  • Assist with maintaining the integrity of the donor database (Team Approach), ensuring accurate input and complete database records; campaigns, pledges and appeals; gift entry; timely acknowledgement generation; production of ongoing and special donation reports.
  • Serves as the Development Team’s primary content manager for Easter Seals Fuse, the organization’s online extranet community, to maintain timely and relevant resources and information are available on the site.
  • Enthusiastically supports team members by conducting business ethically, confidentially and with integrity; demonstrates respect for fellow colleagues; committed to a donor centric approach.
  • Understands and supports Easter Seals’ mission, purpose and values and those we serve.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

  • Confidentiality, discretion and ethical gathering of information presumed.
  • Strong research skills – internet savvy. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel and work beyond normal work week as required on a minimal basis. 

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or requisite experience. 
  • Minimum of one year of development or related experience.
