United Way of Southwest Virginia (UWSWVA) seeks a Health Programs Manager to manage, coordinate and deliver United Way of Southwest Virginia’s (UWSWVA) health strategy with community partners. The Manager will be a visionary, dynamic leader who can grow and lead UWSWVA’s role in serving as an anchor organization for improving health outcomes for children and youth. They will facilitate the collective success of these regional efforts, and serve as a public ambassador for the organization. More specifically, the Health Programs Manager will also drive UWSWVA’s internal and external functions, including strategy, communications, community engagement, and data functions in all health programming.
The Health Programs Manager will manage staff and systems and be accountable for nurturing the efficiency and effectiveness of both, providing high-level strategic thinking and facilitation of UWSWVA’s health programs and initiatives.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years managing teams required and experience in an educational, nonprofit or social service organization with experience in a start-up environment preferred.
