We follow a typical school calendar in that we operate from late August–early June.  The hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  A full-time Social Worker works a six-hour day, 30 hours per week, 1230 hours per year. A great benefit packet that includes affordable medical/dental/vision, file and disability insurance, retirement savings plan and paid time off is included. During the month of July, we offer an Extended School Year program for those employees who wish to work a few extra hours. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • We currently have a Social Worker job opportunity available in at our South (Baldwin/Whitehall) and North (Cranberry Township) school sites, working with children with disabilities ages 3-8. 
  • The Social Worker is responsible for providing social services for family members of our students.
  • The Social Worker will address problems or issues which may directly, or indirectly, impact the education and well-being of the child with the disability and their family.
Educational Background: 
Master’s Degree in Social Work required.
Skills/Experience: 
  • PA Social Work License (or eligibility) required.
  • Completion of educational credits needed to maintain license/certification required.
  • Acceptable Criminal Record Check required.
  • Acceptable Child Abuse History Clearance required.
  • Acceptable FBI Clearance required.
  • Passing of physical examination and TB required.
