The Resource Development Director (RDD), utilizing extensive management knowledge and skills, will develop long-term strategies and operational strategic direction in the areas of workplace and community giving campaigns, major gifts, special events, special markets, planned giving, and grant funding. The RDD will develop an external presence within the business and non-profit community, and is responsible for developing a team (both staff and volunteers) to support financial development and personal relationship objectives in order to grow the overall financial resources for UWEPC. The RDD is responsible for overall market analysis, trend analysis, strategy development and implementation.
- Oversee the development and implementation of a resource development plan that draws resources from multiple sources (current and new) in public and private sectors – corporations, individuals, foundations, government, and nonprofits.
- Oversee the annual workplace campaign and affinity group giving (Women’s Leadership, Young Leaders Society, Retirees, etc.).
- Identify and capitalize on major gifts, leadership level giving, and planned giving opportunities for United Way.
- Oversee the grant writing capacity of United Way ensuring full organizational integration with support from the President/CEO and Director of Community Impact.
- Provide budget projection and oversight on all resource development department activities to include deploying resources within approved operating budget.
- In collaboration with Marketing Department staff, provide innovative and strategic leadership in the development of effective marketing and communications strategies.
- Develop and maintain volunteer and staff involvement:
- A minimum of eight years’ experience including supervisory skills and resource generation required.
Salary: $51,000 to $60,000 per year
