The Community Impact Coordinator pursues the United Way of Horry County’s mission by mobilizing and deepening resources to enhance the Education, Income & Health outcomes of individuals and families so they can achieve their potential and contribute to the community.
Areas of Responsibility:
He/she addresses problems and capitalizes on opportunities by:
- Collaborating with United Way’s community partners to help them maximize impact
- Identifying emerging issues in the community, and acting as a convener of all constituencies to solve such issues
- Coordinating the involvement and participation among diverse stakeholders (agencies, businesses, volunteers, schools, governmental bodies) for collective impact on community issues
- Measuring impact results at agency and community levels, rooted in research and data
- Developing financial resources through grant-writing
- Managing all grants with required deliverables, outcomes and reporting
- Planning meetings for input, collaboration, and training for agency partners on a timely basis
- Coordinating informative donor experiences to assist with advocacy and fundraising
- Working as a team player with other United Way of Horry County staff
- Performing other essential duties as directed by the President
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree
Skills/Experience:

- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Brand steward; professional
- Microsoft Office skills
- References when requested
- Reliable transportation to cover meeting locations around Horry County
- Flexibility when needed, as job involves some evenings and weekends
Compensation/Benefits:
$38,000, plus excellent benefits and 4% retirement (relocation expenses not covered)
