The Data Privacy Analyst will assist in building and expanding our internal data privacy practice. From mapping our data and business processes to implementing privacy initiatives, the Data Privacy Analyst will ensure that privacy controls, processes, and data security are implemented and evangelized throughout the organization.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Supports the development and implementation of company’s privacy program management and compliance framework, policies, procedures, and governance operating model.

Participates in collecting, consolidating and maintaining data mapping and inventory activities

Serves as a subject matter resource and initial point of contact for a variety of privacy items including:

  • Educating and informing subject matter experts;
  • Managing operations issues related to consumer requests;
  • Helping manage collection of privacy metrics and regular status reports;
  • Assisting with privacy impact assessments; and
  • Helping to monitor compliance with applicable data protection frameworks and policies and procedures.

Assists with research, assessment of privacy programs and participates in risk-based decision making to help identify and drive organizational priorities.

Supports implementation of privacy by design principles.

Coordinates, defines, designs, and implements solutions by gathering information from existing systems.

Manages and delivers priority project items.

Contributes to enterprise data rights strategy and prepares communications for executive leadership.

Continually monitors systems, reviews documents, and liaises with other team members to maintain efforts requiring privacy engagement and controls across organization.

Supports the delivery of a privacy capability framework and maturity model assessments.

Stays abreast of data privacy and compliance regulations.

Assists in updating and maintaining internal documents and policies to ensure alignment.

Performs other related duties as needed.

Skills/Experience: 
  • Bachelor degree; candidates with prior data management competencies and 2+ years experience with successful enablement of data privacy controls preferred
  • Experience in gaining a detailed understanding of data- where it lives and how it's used
  • Project execution and action orientation
  • Strategic thinking and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a timeline driven environment
  • Comfortable with interfacing with data stakeholders
  • Flexible to adapt to changing conditions, regulations, and best practices
