The Founders Affiliate of the American Heart Association is recruiting for a Development Director position to be based in our Williamsville, NY office . This position will be responsible for fund-raising and building powerful partnerships for local year round fundraising campaigns Go Red For Women, CycleNation, and Healthy For Good campaigns in the Buffalo and Niagara market that harnesses the energy, passion, and power to collectively wipe out heart disease and stroke. This position will work to bring together corporate partners, medical leaders, community leaders, and volunteers to raise funds and build awareness of heart disease and stroke.
- Revenue generation to include: building and developing a pipeline for corporate sponsorships and individual donors, and conducting sales calls to generate new business and managing existing portfolio of corporate supporters;
- Volunteer/Relationship Management to include: developing and growing relationships with volunteers, sponsors, & key corporate & community leaders to raise funds and awareness, networking within the local area to identify and recruit new relationships for the organization;
- Event Management/Logistics to include: Working with fellow team members to execute year-round campaigns, events and sponsor activations,
- You can expect to travel approximately 75% of the time in your territory as well as some travel to regional offices for meetings and training.
- In this role, you will report to Marc our Executive Director for Rochester/Buffalo. You will have the opportunity to work with a number of staff in our fund-raising, program and mission related positions.
- Education: Related experience may be substituted as follows: 1 ½ years experience equates to 1 full time year of higher education.
- Experience: Must have at least 2 years of experience in fundraising, outside sales and/or senior level volunteer management. This experience may also count towards satisfying this position’s educational requirement.
