The Founders Affiliate of the American Heart Association is looking to fill an Executive Director Development position that will provide leadership for American Heart Association campaigns, Board of Directors and fundraising staff for the Hudson Valley counties including Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Ulster, Rockland, Orange and Sullivan. With emphasis on field work with corporations and community leaders in our greatest growth potential areas the candidate ideally is located in Westchester, Putnam or lower Dutchess counties. A regional office is located in Poughkeepsie but does not necessitate daily presence. You will have overall responsibility for achieving revenue goals of $1,400,000 while developing and implementing a plan of revenue growth through key fundraising campaigns, strategic market partnerships and philanthropic donors. You will also work with the Board of Directors to impact mission engagement and leadership recruitment.
In this role, you will report to Liz our Senior VP of Development and will join her team of Executive Directors in our Western Region. In this role you will supervise the fundraising staff responsible for various American Heart Association events in the region.
- Related experience may be substituted as follows: 1½ years experience equates to 1 full time year of higher education.
- Experience: Must have at least 4-5 years of experience in fundraising, outside sales or in a non-profit organization in a similar capacity that includes at least 1 year of experience in a management capacity. This experience may also count towards satisfying this position’s educational requirement.
