Provides human resources generalist support to the Talent Services Partners/Regional Director and serves as first point of contact for department/regional staff in the areas of leave of absence administration, worker’s compensation, unemployment insurance, and general HR questions.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Responsible for frontline HR generalist support and administration of the following HR functions in assigned regions:
    • Leave of Absence Administration, including:
    • Coordination of work restrictions and accommodations;
    • LOA Mailbox;
    • Leave database management;
    • Biweekly audit resolution;
    • State leave compliance;
    • Issue resolution with vendors, managers and employees;
    • General manager and employee support;
    • Facilitate quarterly maternity leave webinars
    • Unemployment Compensation
    • Worker’s Compensation
  • Provide first level support and issue resolution to employees and managers on questions related to HR policy, benefits, payroll, PTO, SFLP, FMLA and other leaves, and general policy inquiries.
  • Assist in administration of various talent programs including relocation, rewards and recognition, milestone service and alternative work arrangements.
  • Work with talent systems & analytics team to ensure assigned Talent Services Partners/Regional Directors are supplied with timely reports on talent programs and initiatives.
  • Support the annual performance review process (goal setting, mid-year reviews and year-end reviews) by responding to employee inquiries and facilitating follow-up on incomplete tasks in department/region.
  • Manage the Health Working Life program for assigned regions, working with local leadership and facilities to perform ergonomic assessments and manage outcomes.
  • Assist Talent Services Partners/Regional Directors with follow-up on incomplete training assignments related to Annual Compliance training.    
  • Participate in special projects engaged in the establishment and implementation of new processes for Talent Strategy and assigned client base.
  • Participate in tasks forces to ensure HR-related best practices and process improvements
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
Skills/Experience: 
  • Three to five years of HR generalist/coordinator experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources, as well as of local, state and federal employment laws
  • Human Resources professional certification (PHR) preferred

  • Knowledge of HR best practices and demonstrated success working as an HR representative.
  • Strong records and database management skills.
  • Able to gather and analyze statistical data from multiple database sources and generate reports.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and administer complex administrative systems and processes.
  • Ability to interpret and apply guidelines and procedures, and deliver difficult messages professionally and in a manner aligned with policy and standard procedure.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, decision-making, problem solving, project management, and customer service skills.
  • Consistent ability to set and deliver against a work plan in a fast-paced environment, giving attention to detail even under high pressure situations.
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues; able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment 
  • Ability to build relationships, foster a cooperative work environment, and build consensus with remote / geographically dispersed staff.
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment
