The Program Officer for Research Operations and Knowledge Management will support a variety of research efforts and programs led by the R&E Department. Reporting to the R&E Department Director, the Program Officer will provide operations support to R&E projects and staff, and help coordinate the research and thought leadership initiatives led by the R&E team. She/he will act as the Communications Coordinator for the Education Equity Research Initiative housed at FHI 360, supporting the work of its Steering Committee, its Task Teams, and its external communications efforts.
The Program Officer will also support the knowledge management and communications needs of the R&E Department, ensuring consistency in resource and data management, and helping to move forward the communication and dissemination of knowledge products developed by G3E Business Unit.
Finally, the Program Officer will also support the program management actions needed to support the work of the R&E Department, including procurement, administrative processing, and coordination for staff and projects led by the R&E Department.
In sum, the Program Officer will serve to connect the different elements of the R&E work, help ensure effective communication and sharing of resources within the R&E team, and effective coordination of external thought leadership efforts for FHI 360 in Global Education, Employment and Engagement. - Provide Program and Operations Support to the projects and activities led by the R&E Department and its staff; including knowledge management, communications, Sharepoint, social media on behalf of research projects, event planning, Costpoint, staff onboarding, and task management – 40%
- Support the work of the Education Equity Research Initiative, including its Steering Committee, its Technical Advisory group meetings and its different task teams; as well as the Website, events, and external communications - 30%
- Provide Support business development of proposals in research and evaluation – 15%
- Support other research efforts and data analysis on G3E projects, as needed – 15%
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in program and operations support- 3 years preferred
- Effective task management skills in balancing multiple competing operations demands
- Strong teamwork and effective communication skills
- Strong writing skills highly desirable
- Experience with Costpoint and Salesforce desirable
- Speaking and writing skills in Arabic, French and/or Spanish desirable
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and to adapt to changing circumstances; collaborative team spirit and cultural sensitivity are a must.
