CSPB seeks a temporary Intern (3 months, with a possibility of renewal) to perform administrative, logistical, and programmatic tasks to assist and support CSPB projects and business development efforts. The Intern will conduct research, prepare documents and reports, support procurement for subawards, compile records, support business development efforts, and carry out other tasks as needed, serving as a primary resource for assistance in the department.
Support CSPB project implementation.
- Assist project teams with research, and logistical/operational support to implement project activities and organization of events;
- Maintain databases, conduct research, and assist with writing and editing assignments as needed;
- Prepare documents, reports and briefing materials for consultants, staff and clients;
- Prepare and support procurement of goods and services to implement project activities;
- Help accurately and regularly track documentation and reports; and
- Perform other logistical, administrative and programmatic support tasks as needed.
Support to CSPB Business Development efforts
- Support identification of and outreach to potential implementing partners;
- Set up and confirm meetings with potential partners and clients on behalf of staff conducting capture research in the field;
- Help prepare materials, such as one-pagers and briefs, on relevant topics about CSPB projects and initiatives for the FHI 360 website as well as other promotional outlets;
- Assist the collection of basic cost and pricing inputs for budgets;
- Support writing of technical, management and annex sections of proposal efforts, as needed and as directed;
- Perform entry-level program tasks related to new business and as assigned; and
- Work on other new business development tasks as needed and as directed.
- 1 – 2 years of program and administrative support experience preferred;
- At least 1 year of business development experience preferred;
- Must have strong computer skills, including: MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based research;
- Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience living overseas, particularly in developing countries;
- Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and colleagues;
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English;
- Proficiency in a foreign language is highly desirable (e.g., French, Spanish, Arabic, other)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; and
- Prior experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) preferred.
