The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Warriors to Work Regional Director is responsible for managing and supervising Warriors to Work (WtoW) staff in assigned regional offices, overseeing program delivery, and budget execution. The Regional Director will provide guidance to employers on internal “best practices” to implement or improve Wounded Veteran hiring initiatives. The Regional Director ensures Warriors to Work activities are aligned with organization’s strategic plan and objectives. The Regional Director works collaboratively with the WtoW Director and other WtoW Regional Directors to impact overall programmatic growth and drive team performance.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manage and lead WtoW team to be mission-driven, guided by core values, and a pleasure to work with, across multiple regional offices
  • Responsible for Business Development Activities including: sourcing and qualifying employment partners, identifying decision-makers, establishing lasting relationships, completing company and department profiles/org charts, building relationships with internal recruiters at targeted organizations, marketing WtoW Alumni to employers, and scheduling visits to business locations.
  • Strengthen current business partner relationships through site visits, presentations and phone/email contact
  • Actively engage with executive and C-level corporate decision-makers to understand the value to their organization by hiring Wounded Veterans
  • Maintain excellent communication, including cascading messages, feedback to direct reports, and clear communication across all assigned regional offices
  • Interact with other WtoW Regional Directors and other WWP departments to ensure WWP priorities are successfully communicated and achieved
  • Oversee all employment-focused program delivery across assigned region, with a focus on career development, and recruitment strategies
  • Oversee tracking and reporting of employment placements in Salesforce for inclusion in KPIs
  • Working with other WtoW teammates, focus on achieving goals and outcome measurements to establish effectiveness of WtoW programming
  • Interact with other WWP departments to ensure warrior needs are met in a collaborative and holistic manner
  • Develop and manage regional Warriors to Work budget
  • Enhance alumni awareness of Economic Empowerment and enrollment into Warriors to Work through program collaboration
  • Travel to regional offices and WtoW events as needed
  • Other related duties as assigned
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred
Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Able to learn a Client Relationship Management (CRM) system

  • Define and/or develop organizational policies, procedures, and processes
  • High level of proficiency with all Microsoft Office programs
  • Proven leadership abilities, preferably with experience supervising remote subordinates, including ability to lead, motivate, coach, and educate staff members
  • Three (3) years of previous staff management experience required
  • Two (2) years sales or recruiting management experience preferred
  • Experience with remote management and territorial or regional responsibilities preferred 
  • Must be able to travel between 50% - 75% of the time including overnight and weekend travel
