PSI’s External Relations & Communications department positions PSI as a thought-leader and development NGO of the future. We nurture strategic relationships with donors and partners, support internal and in-country teams with external relations and raise unrestricted funds for PSI. We work hard and laugh a lot together.
We are looking for an Associate, Design Services to help us plan and execute PSI’s corporate and digital strategy to amplify the organization’s reach, expand PSI’s audience, deepen the engagement with donors and decision-makers, and raise unrestricted funding. The Associate, Design Services will also be responsible for consulting with external technical and regional teams at PSI Headquarter offices to execute digital tasks assigned.
The Associate, Design Services position will support ERC with all of its design service needs. That includes but is not limited to, the following:
- Hourly Breakdown per week (up to 40 hours)
- Design Project and Client Management (20 hours approx.)
- Graphic Design (10 hours approx.)
- Design Services & Multimedia Management (10 hours approx.)
Tasks
The Associate, Design Services position will support ERC with all of its design and departmental needs. That includes but is not limited to, the following:
Design Project and Client Management (20 hours approx.)
- Traffic Management for Design Services - Create and maintain pipeline of design projects assigned internally and externally to vendors, including the acquisition of creative briefs, client updates and client meetings.
- Liaise with colleagues inside and outside the design services group to plan and manage the queue of design needs for the organization (eg, serve as a traffic manager liasing with new and existing design clients, content providers and others).
- Vendor acquisition and management for Design and printing including acquisition and management of freelance and agency design vendors and printers.
Graphic Design (10 hours approx.)
- Design quick turnaround and small projects on a regular basis and provide design production for larger projects, as needed.
- Provide graphics support as needed, including but not limited to email, web and social media design elements, business cards, and changes to existing designs.
Design Services & Multimedia Management (10 hours approx.)
- Help maintain, support, and adhere to PSI brand standards
- Maintain Design Services’ presence on sharepoint and promotional materials
- Market and manage Design Services around PSI
- Manage and maintain Lucid Press services at PSI
- Maintain (and produce as needed) brand assets including MS Office and other templates
- Maintain, collect and support video and photography assets and databases

The basics:
- At least 3-5 years of experience working design and account management, project management and client/customer service.
- A self-starter who is nice, fun, loves helping clients and colleagues achieve their goals and feels fulfilled working collaboratively with a team for shared success.
- Experience Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
- Strong layout design skills
- Ability to learn quickly and efficiently, with the self-starter skills required to learn new programs as needed
- Effective project and time management skills and an aptitude to always follow through
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, hectic environment
- An openness to evolving responsibilities
- Highly organized, adaptive and flexible
- An understanding of how to nurture relationships with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders
- Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders with professionalism and collegiality
- Strong personal initiative, team player
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. PSI will not consider work visa sponsorship for this position.
