Senior Specialist, Strategic Partnerships

Leads execution of programs, projects, and initiatives for ACS CAN corporate and external partners.  Serves as a connection point for all ACS CAN as well as ACS Corporate and Distinguished Partners (and other) staff to ensure the fulfillment and delivery of ACS CAN corporate membership benefits, key programs and projects, and strategic partnerships.

Primarily responsible for creating and implementing the programmatic elements of the ACS CAN corporate membership program for our partners including but not limited to corporate member lunches, conference calls, and national events.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Implement a corporate communications strategy to include producing a monthly newsletter, sending regular updates to corporate members, developing and updating donor/partnering packages, preparing relevant presentations, correspondence, briefings, and developing other communications as needed.
  • Develop and update ACS CAN sales materials and sponsorship opportunity book. Work with both ACS and ACS CAN staff to improve these materials. Maintain the Strategic Partnerships Society Source (internal web page) and SharePoint (staff resource page).
  • Regularly update the Corporate Membership list, materials, spreadsheet and website. Maintain records of donations from corporate partners.
  • Coordinate and run work group meeting and organization for national events including the National Forum on the Future of Health Care (in coordination with the Policy team) and the Government Relations Directors Training (in coordination with the State & Local Campaigns team).
  • Build relationships with existing corporate partners to ensure their satisfaction with the corporate membership program.  Develop ideas to improve this program.
  • Work with members of the ACS CAN Federal, Policy, and State and Local Campaign teams to develop opportunities for further corporate engagement and restricted gifts by monitoring emerging policy issues where synergy might exist.
  • Work with ACS CAN and ACS staff to prepare them to meet with and work with corporate partners.
  • Builds strong relationships and directly collaborate with staff within ACS’s Corporate & Distinguished Partners teams to leverage external affiliations and accomplish shared goals.
  • Supports ACS CAN’s Vice President, Strategic Partnerships to ensure mission, top line, and bottom line goals are reached as well as compliance with appropriate policies. 
  • Responsible for integration across ACS CAN teams, as well as ACS Corporate & Distinguished Partners, Health Systems, and Community Engagement teams within the Region and enterprise to meet shared objectives and goals, and to exchange innovative ideas, best practices, successes, and lessons learned. Conduct trainings and best practice sharing sessions as appropriate.
  • Ensure a consistent ACS CAN and ACS image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
  • Build relationships with ACS CAN and ACS staff to research and identify prospects that have potential to partner with, and contribute to, ACS CAN.
  • Actively demonstrates and cascades the enterprise-wide mindsets: integrity, collaboration and stewardship.
  • Works continually to improve processes and policies to make ACS CAN more efficient, effective, and easier with which to conduct business.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Preferred five years’ experience executing corporate programs, projects, and partnerships for a multi-million-dollar organization.  Needs a strong background in and understanding of health policy issues.
