PSI is looking for an experience tax professional to join its Finance team to support and lead PSI through its tax compliance requirements. As a 501 (c) (3) organization, with local operations in over 50 countries, including traditional programmatic activities as well as social enterprises, this is a great opportunity to work on both US and multiple international jurisdiction tax issues from a corporate, payroll and transfer pricing perspective. This position will report directly to the Vice President Finance.
- Maintain and manage the process to ensure compliance with both US and international tax reporting obligations for all financially consolidated PSI entities;
- Identify, develop and incorporate appropriate tax planning opportunities to minimize income tax liabilities;
- Address tax aspects of financial statement presentation at year end;
- Maintain tax technical competency and keep abreast of developments and changes in the jurisdictions in which PSI operations, both in the US and overseas;
- Assist PSI management in understanding the tax implications of operational and structural decisions;
- Support PSI headquarter’s management as well as country management, in understanding their tax risks and in developing appropriate tax planning strategies;
- Ensure PSI has appropriate tax registrations and exemptions in place where appropriate;
- Ensure ongoing compliance with international payroll and social taxes for international staff and remote workers;
- Manage and coordinate PSI’s transfer pricing agreements, ensuring benchmarking exercises and local jurisdiction approvals are maintained;
- Coordinate with PSI headquarters Finance team and local country office teams to ensure intercompany transfer pricing invoicing is performed timely and in accordance with agreements and requirements;
- Coordinate and liaise with external tax advisors both in the US and in local jurisdictions; and
- Other duties as required
- At least 6 – 8 years of experience in tax consulting and/or tax compliance with corporates or public accounting;
- Experience in international tax issues and transfer pricing required;
- Excellent communicator of tax and financial issues in a clear manner to non-finance teams, both written and oral;
- Ability to develop rapport and working relationships across the organization and with third party advisors;
- Knowledge of Infor Lawson or other ERP system, and strong MS Excel skills;
- French or Spanish language skills preferred.
