Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) seeks a dynamic and effective Director, Digital Supporter Engagement & Innovation. The Director will need to work smoothly and effectively across Public Policy, Development and Communications departments to develop and implement an effective and innovative enterprise-wide digital engagement strategy. They will thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment bringing an excellent business judgement to developing innovative programs, new audiences and technologies to engage Planned Parenthood's 10 million supporters and donors. Working with the digital direct response team, OEC, and our digital agency, the Director will create a digital engagement strategy that is constituent-focused, and balances organizational priorities for advocacy, fundraising, and communications to deepen the engagement of our constituents and while delivering an excellent constituent experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops Innovative engagement and retention strategies as well as campaigns aimed at a Digital First constituencies, Including younger and diverse audiences.
  • Develops strategies for channel Integration and oversees Implementation of new technical applications seamlessly across campaigns - e.g. Mobile Giving, Crowdfunding, etc.
  • Lead projects from conception to execution - able to make the case for budget Investments, delegates and outsources development tasks, and sees projects to completion within aggressive timelines.
  • Provides operational oversight for the Digital Organizing program in coordination with the Digital Fundraising and Supporter Engagement program and the Organizing team.
  • Provides day to day guidance and operational supervision to Digital Organizing program manager.
  • Works closely with OEC to develop actionable and measurable Direct Response and Digital Organizing engagement strategies.
  • Develop a deep understanding of what motivates key target demographics (Generation Z, communities of color, etc.) in a digital context.
  • Manages the Integration of Digital Organizing and Online CRM tools and datasets for effective segmentation strategies.
  • Responsible for C3 and C4 financial expense and effort reporting.
  • Partners with Data team for building out new technical applications.
  • Track new and near-future marketing, fundraising, and tech developments, especially from commercial industries outside of traditional nonprofit work.
  • Manages relevant consultant I vendor relationships.
  • Supervises the Online Promotions manager.
  • Responsible to achieving Skunkworks innovation goals and projects.
  • Completes special projects as assigned and required.Â
REQUIREMENTS / TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
  • Bachelor's degree or related equivalent experience required.
  • 5-8 years of directly-related, progressively responsible experience with experience in development and execution of web marketing, supporter engagement, new product development, database marketing, digital organizing, project management, and budgeting.
  • Prefer non-profit advocacy experience.
  • Experience working with organizations with an affiliated structure.
  • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills. Â
  • Computer skills must be excellent including Word, Excel, and ECRM database applications.
  • Required to demonstrate ability to manage a diverse workforce, with sensitivity to diversity.Â
PERSONAL QUALITIES /OTHER ATTRIBUTES
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills with ability to handle volatile public response in professional manner. Â
  • Excellent knowledge of online organizing, online technology platforms, and online fundraising.Â
  • TRAVEL: 0-25%
