- Create and direct the National Planned Parenthood Digital Organizing Program and Planned Parenthood Defenders: Must have a track record of excellence in working creating from scratch and leading digital organizing programs.
- Strategic thinker able to assess the political landscape and develop digital organizing strategies to advance reproductive rights and protect Planned Parenthood: Must be a strategic thinker and visionary who is able to innovate in a way that will take our national digital program to the next level.
- Strong Project Management Skills: This role will direct a cross-departmental team in the execution of a national digital organizing strategy including field, policy, communications, digital, and fundraising.
- Ability to Engage Multiple Stakeholders: The candidate must have experience managing multiple projects and ability to direct and oversee a cadre of local staff, consultants, volunteers, and local organization leadership. This person must be able to engage multiple stakeholders, including our affiliates. This person must be able to build relationships in such a way that helps them to navigate our big, complex structure.
- Enthusiasm about engaging Planned Parenthood local organizations!: This role will offer high level strategic guidance and technical assistance to support local Planned Parenthood organizations in planning and executing digital-only efforts and digital elements of field efforts. In addition, this role will further engage Planned Parenthood local organizations in this program through the creation and execution of trainings and resource development.
- Results Oriented: A demonstrated commitment to meeting a high bar and a history of getting things done even in the face of obstacles. This person needs to be able to drive the national strategy, but also willing to do the work when needed, including writing email, social and web content.
- Campaign and Movement Building Mindset!: This person must be able to create and direct digital organizing campaigns that engage our supporters to win urgent fights and also be able to do the longer term work of deepening engagement and building a multi-generational and diverse movement. This person should have a successful track record in both movement and issues, as well as electoral campaigns.
- Competency in Data and Systems: Must be a data driven individual who understands the necessity of strong data practices and a general competency in data systems and management, specifically related to digital organizing. This role will further develop reporting tools and systems, and support a team that manages reporting on digital organizing activities between the National Digital Organizing program and Planned Parenthood local organizations to help define and refine engagement pathways for supporters.
- Makes Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion a Priority: We take racial equity, diversity, and inclusion seriously! This position requires a proven expertise in engaging young people, people of color, and continuing to educate our existing supporters about the importance of intersectionality.
- 5-8 years of online and offline organizing experience—specifically, experience developing and implementing programs that cultivate supporters from online → offline action.
- Direct experience as a leadership in an organizing or campaign role.
- Fluent in data and digital integration.
- Experience crafting and executing comprehensive online organizing campaigns and broader digital strategies (including web, email, social, mobile). Intimate knowledge of social media, email marketing and web content management strategies and tools.
- Experience working with and managing consultants.
- Experience developing and implementing online content for non-profit advocacy organizations or national organizing campaigns.
- Experience working with young people and communities of color for social change a plus.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Unflappable in times of crisis and high stress.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a mission-driven, not-for-profit organization, and experience working in large, multi-layered organizations with many stakeholders.
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines and deliverables.
- Committed to reproductive rights, health and justice.
