The AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a PROJECT COORDINATOR in our NATIONAL CENTER office located in WALTHAM, MA .
- Provide project coordination and administrative assistance to the Science Publishing department.
- Coordinates publishing procedures to assist in AHA strategic goal of rapid dissemination of scientific information.
- Interact with volunteers and staff to ensure timelines and deadlines are met.
- Work with other Office of Science Operations (OSO) and AHA departments to meet deptartment goals.
- Understand and implement appropriate AHA systems to ensure integrity of publications.
- Working knowledge of budgets with a conscious effort to contribute to budget goals of department.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in a related administration role.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal/external customers and volunteers. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience and/or knowledge of financial systems (E-1, COI, Seibel, etc.).
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize work assignments, manage/monitor multiple projects, and meet multiple deadlines.
- Ability to function independently with minimal supervision and be a contributor to the publishing team.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to initiate projects and be pro-active; attention to detail; provide follow-through and devise alternative solutions as necessary.
