The Marketing Manager develops, creates and implements plans that align with the strategic priorities of the program or division.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Fundraising Manager manages all aspects of the supporter fundraising program to advance the Conservancy’s strategies to build and engage a constituency for advancing our conservation impact and achieving the fundraising goals. Develops an integrated strategy encompassing solicitation, cultivation and stewardship of prospects and donors in a multi-channel environment with the goal of maximizing revenue for the short and long term. Works closely with various constituents including senior staff, field offices, department and division staff, vendors with special emphasis in face-to-face agencies and other key stakeholders to ensure delivery of the supporter program goals. Coordinates and manages budgets for the program. Oversees the day-to-day of the supporter program.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE

  • Manage and serve as team lead on assigned projects.
  • May supervise professional and/or administrative staff.
  • Manage assigned budget, evaluate results and develop recommendations for corrective strategies as needed. 
  • Responsibility and accountability for meeting program goals and objectives.
  • Resolves complex issues independently within program area.
  • Opportunity to act independently within program goals.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum 7 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
Skills/Experience: 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience managing client and account relationships. 
  • Experience implementing, and managing multiple complex projects.
  • Experience negotiating agreements.
  • Experience in individual giving fundraising in a multi-channel, including face-to-face and digital.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Multi-lingual skills appreciated.
  • Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.
  • Experience leading in a team-based environment with internal and/or external partners.
  • Experience applying marketing principles on projects/programs.
  • Experience managing a budget.
  • Practical knowledge of current and evolving trends related to field of experience.
  • Experience conceiving and writing creatively for various audiences from technical information.  
  • Strong communication skills with ability to articulate ideas in a compelling manner.
  • Detailed knowledge of procedures and terms in relevant field of experience.
  • Experience in fundraising databases specially Raiser’s Edge preferred.
