Responsible for the driving strategic vision for creative engagement of corporate stakeholders in AHA's field campaigns and significant fundraising events. Responsible for leading the design and implementation of corporate encounters resulting in significant increases in revenue. Responsible for researching and delivering marketing and field implementation approaches to increase acquisition and retention of participants and donors.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develop the overall vision for improved corporate encounters and engagement in field campaign fund-raising events to increase acquisition and retention of participants.
  • Bring contemporary knowledge of donor behavior to develop event experiences for new corporate audiences.
  • Oversee marketing and communications planning. Coordinate messaging and implementation tactics to replicate and scale to market.
  • Ensure consistent event experience and messaging across Heart Walk, Heart Ball, Go Red for Women, etc. Customize programs to meet the needs of the sponsor without diminishing the impact of the AHA brand.
  • Set and drive achievement of fundraising goals for initial kick-off as well as multi-year growth.
  • Directs ongoing prospecting efforts as a catalyst for new business development activity and client meetings.
  • Establishes mechanisms to monitor actual results against plans, communicates status of plans and initiates corrective actions as necessary so that objectives are met.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field and 8-12 years of related experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 10 years experience in various methods and successful track record in event-based fund-raising including marketing and sponsorship.
  • 8 years experience developing creative business solutions for driving revenue.
  • 5 years experience development and management.
  • Strong presentation and trainnig skills and prior experience presenting to C-Suite level individuals.
