The American Heart Association (AHA) has a great opportunity for a Senior HRIS Analyst , to be based at our National Headquarters in Dallas, TX .

In this role, you will be responsible to perform technical and analytical functions in Workday and related areas for HR system needs. This role is considered the HR technical subject matter expert leading Workday HR system configuration, enhancements, integrations, issue fixes and deployment.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Configure complex Workday business processes in HCM, work flows, and advanced compensation, benefits, time, absences, talent and performance
  • Responsible for translating business needs to system design, conduct system/data analysis, and participating in testing and deployment activities
  • Function as subject matter expert to optimize use of Workday and HR technology solutions for enhanced operations and consistent user experience
  • Lead and manage major Workday releases, to include researching new functionality and education the HR team on enhancements as applicable
  • Partner with key stakeholders to create business requirements documents, system configuration documents, detailed functional specification documents, test plans and test cases.
  • Identify impact and enhancement opportunities associated with a new release and direct regression testing and introduction of required changes as new releases are introduced.
  • Communicate new or modified functionality to support team/HR for training and operational impacts
  • Lead testing strategy and efforts for system and user acceptance testing
  • Partner with and provide support to the manager on HR technology roadmap to include leading prioritization, research, resolution, change management and issue management
  • Work with functional team members to understand requirements and communicate system capabilities/limitations
  • Manage Role-Based Security
  • Reporting and Analytics – Create advanced reports for management reporting that include derived fields.
  • Support other HR Systems – ICIMS, Cornerstone and ADP, ADP Connection and ADP GL
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, Data Science.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 3 -5 years of experience in configuring Workday Business Processes
  • Workday HCM Certification and knowledge in at least one other functional area: Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation or Talent
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Java Scripting a plus
