Manager of Supportive Pregnancy Care

Manage and provide technical assistance to Supportive Pregnancy Care programs nationwide. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Cultivates partnerships and ensures effective collaboration with health systems, health care payers, health care providers, and maternal and child health organizations implementing the Supportive Pregnancy Care model of group prenatal care. Serves as the primary contact and relationship manager for clinical site implementation partners.
  • Develops strategies with and provides technical assistance to clinical site partners implementing Supportive Pregnancy Care.
  • Develops and implements on-site training of staff at clinical site implementation partners.
  • Ensures that designated data is collected and submitted by implementation sites using paper and electronic tools to monitor progress.Documents program activities and provides regular reports for external funders, and provides accountability for community investments.
Educational Background: 
Master’s degree in public health, health education, nursing, health advocacy, public administration, project management, or other related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Previous Experience:  A minimum of 5 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: maternal/child health; reproductive health; program planning, development and implementation; community development; grants administration.
  • Education:  Project management training and certification a plus.
  • Physical Demands:  Involves traveling by car, train or plane to meetings and trainings; involves sustained periods of computer work; involves significant phone and web-based discussion; may involve lifting and carrying boxes.
  • Equipment Used:  Computer, printer, telephone, copier and fax machine; familiarity working in common software programs and database systems.
