Manager, Affiliate Learning (Expertise Hubs)

This job is no longer available

As part of an effort to strengthen knowledge-sharing and best practices across its U.S. affiliate network, Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is investing in the creation of Expertise Hubs, which seek to aggregate and organize high-quality resources and knowledge for a diverse network of over 1200 affiliates. In FY20, HFHI is launching two such “hubs”: one focused on Resource Development (i.e. fundraising) and the other focused on management & operations. It is imperative that there be consistency and predictability across expertise hubs and that the learning resources included therein are of the highest quality and accessibility. As such, HFHI is hiring a Manager – Affiliate Learning (Expertise Hubs).

The Manager – Affiliate Learning (Expertise Hubs) oversees the affiliate learning experience for the two newly-launched expertise hubs. S/he will work in close collaboration with the respective directors of the Expertise Hubs, ensuring that the content for these areas is easy to access and is packaged in ways that are the most intuitive for the user. Specifically, s/he will be responsible for taking content and packaging it for toolkits, communities of practices, and in-person trainings.

Areas of Responsibility:
  • Working closely with Expertise Hub Directors, determine what products and services are best suited to different types of affiliate learning needs (e.g. when is an online toolkit the answer vs. a webinar?)
  • Working closely with Expertise Hub Directors and their teams, ensure that learning materials are developed with an eye toward best practices; help establish learning & development standards across expertise hubs
  • Working closely with the MyHabitat team, ensure that expertise hub resources are well managed
  • Develop and maintain resources, materials, and tools for fostering and promoting learning
  • Identify metrics that will be used to regularly evaluate the efficacy of expertise hubs; ensure HFHI has strong feedback loops with affiliates
  • Advise Directors on new products and services and help evolve existing portfolio based on affiliate input
  • Provide metrics to key stakeholders regarding learning and development success, opportunities for improvement, and efficiencies of expertise hub
Educational Background:

  • Strong understanding of knowledge management and best practices in it
  • Experience with collecting and analyzing feedback from diverse stakeholders; able to identify data needed and analyze it to draw conclusions
