Affiliate Services Manager

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is recruiting for a US Affiliate Services Manager to be based remotely.

As Habitat for Humanity International implements an affiliate-centered US Support Model, the resources developed for stand-up training over the past few years, need to be translated into off-the-shelf, user friendly materials. HFHI is seeking a person who has experience with affiliate and SSO operations, understands organizational development and the role of the board of directors, and has experience in adult learning. This position will contribute subject matter expertise to expedite the translation of the former support model resources into easy to use materials for affiliates, SSOs and other affiliated partners to use for their purposes. They will also assist Affiliate Services in collaborating with DR3 and NR, providing limited support to those programs as well as train and coach ASC representatives to increase their Organizational Development competency.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Convert current materials used by field staff to off-the-shelf resources for affiliates and SSOs to adopt for their purposes. (25%)
  • Work with appropriate publishers to contribute subject matter expertise to expedite the translation of former support model ODC resources to future support model resources (off-the-shelf with collateral materials). (10%)
  • Train and coach ASC staff to increase organizational development competencies to be more effective when responding to affiliates and SSOs' inquiries; occasional SSO training opportunity. (20%)
  • Coach ASC staff, SSO staff, affiliate staff and other partners on utilization of on-line resources to foster group decision making and to take action (adult learning). (15%)
  • Collaborate with DR3 on Habitat Ready Materials. (10%)
  • Provide communications assistance to NR department. (15%)
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor. (5%)

  • Helps in translating large amounts of content already created by ODCs over past few years to avoid re-creation of resources

  • Cross-departmental, across enterprise (ASC, Faith Relations, VIE, Legal, etc.)
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's Degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5 years’ experience in HFHI, SSO or Affiliate (in leadership position)
  • Experienced in virtual facilitation, ability to organize, plan and coordinate learning, strong collaboration and communication skills, ability to take initiative and work with little supervision, deep knowledge of board responsibilities.

PREFERRED:

  • Broad knowledge of affiliate operations, organizational development, coaching, consulting, group dynamics, volunteer engagement, staff-board relations.

BENEFICIAL BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • Experience with digital platforms and creating online courses, evidence of problem-solving skill and multi-tasking.
