FHI 360 currently is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Regulatory Reform Specialist for an anticipated Promoting Innovative Entrepreneurship in Tunisia (PIE) project that aims to support the goals of the Tunisian Start-Up Act, which was passed by the country’s Parliament in 2018 and intends to address unemployment and boost technology by fostering more innovative, creative, and scalable start-ups. The Senior Regulatory Reform Specialist will support all project activities including the implementation of regulations and procedures supporting the Startup Act and providing technical assistance to ensure its success. The position will be based in Tunis, Tunisia, and is contingent upon receiving award.
- Report to Project Director
- Support all project activities including the implementation of regulations and procedures supporting the Startup Act and providing technical assistance to ensure its success
- Coordinate and manage consultant activities
- Participate in data collection for project monitoring and evaluation and contribute to final project evaluation
- Proven skills in working collaboratively with host country counterparts at the national and provincial levels
- At least 10 years of work experience in regulatory reforms in Tunisia
- Ability to manage and complete numerous tasks with a high degree of organization and limited resources
- Ability to meet deadlines with strong attention to consistency, detail, and quality
- Excellent English oral and written communication
- Experience working in a non-governmental organization (NGO)
- Experience working with Government of Tunisia (GoT), Ministry of ICT
- Previous experience in Tunisia is strongly preferred
